"Volume Measurement Using 3D Technology" presented by CEO Ofir Perl at ISA(D) – POWID Conference, Mumbai
Tel Aviv, Israel, 03 June 2010 – APM Automation Solutions co-Founder and CEO Ofir Perl introduced APM's innovative breakthrough technology to a standing-room-only audience of C&I and automation professionals as part of the “Vision Tomorrow” session at the International Society of Automation ISA (Delhi) – POWID conference in Mumbai at the end of May, 2010.
Mr. Perl summarized the challenges that large-scale manufacturing industries – from the power industry to cement to steel, plastics and others – must overcome to accurately assess and control inventory in order to successfully manage the entire production process.
He gave an overview of prior-art technologies, including the use of electromechanical (yo-yo) level sensors, ultrasonic and radar level sensors, and capacitance sensors, and discussed the shortcomings of each of these methods.
Mr. Perl continued with a detailed under-the-hood view of how APM's innovative 3D level scanning technology provides much greater accuracy in its measurements, resulting in significantly enhanced overall performance, major cost savings and faster returns on investment. "Knowledge is power," Mr. Perl commented, "and APM's technology allows managers to make informed decisions that go right to the bottom line throughout the entire supply chain."
